What is an NFC wristband and how does Bandie use it

NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It is the same technology used for contactless payments and travel cards.

Bandie uses NFC to store important contact or emergency information securely on the wristband. When someone taps the band with a compatible smartphone, that information appears instantly on their screen.

There is no battery inside Bandie. That means nothing to charge, nothing to switch on, and nothing to run out.

The person tapping the band does not need to download an app. It works straight from their phone.

Bandie only needs to be set up once using the Bandie app. After that, it is always ready, whether it is worn daily or kept for specific situations.
